Services | Pediatric Surgery Resident Experience

Surgical residents rotate to Children's Hospital of Michigan during their 2nd and 4th years for a dedicated experience in Pediatric Surgery. The residents learn pre-operative evaluation and management of the pediatric surgical patient, operative techniques and post-operative care. A wide array of pathology will provide the basis of their education, from hernias to complex reconstructions. To augment the extensive clinical experience, weekly conferences are provided with interactions with residents from other programs, fellows and staff physicians.
